ASYLUM KING

Mysterious figure in a hat enveloped by swirling smoke in dim light.

Asylum King, had it’s R&D performance at The Hope Theatre and premiered at Collective Fringe Festival 2026 in London.

Who killed the man in Room 47?  Who’s cashing in on his death?  Ambitious, journalist Fran Marlowe is desperate to make a name for herself and sees the death of an asylum seeker in a privately-run asylum hotel as her big break. What starts as a straightforward investigation quickly twists into a murky web of cover-ups when key evidence vanishes. As Fran digs deeper, the trail leads her through state-sponsored profiteering, radicalization, systemic neglect, and the shadow of possible murder – uncovering a conspiracy that stretches far beyond one lifeless body.
